 #idiot #every time they cut to him i laughed #but it was also such a great choice #because in thg katniss thinks about gale all the time #’i wonder what gale thinks of all this kissing’ #but you can’t have the narration in the film and as such#flashes to unimpressed gale #which i showed my mother and brother today they thought it was hilarious #because it IS #this big dumb in love idiot of my life #dammit hawthorne #gale is mine. i am his. anything else is unthinkable. #does he miss me? he must. #the one thing that i wanted in CF that i didn’t get was gale talking about what it was like to see her in the games #because he saw her #he watched her with a knife at her throat and he couldn’t help her when that’s what katniss and gale DO #they help each other #and all he could do is stare at his screen #and i wonder if he screamed or if it took too much to move let alone speak #i wonder if people told him they were sorry for his loss #i wonder if people looked at him like he was half-dead #i wonder if he felt half-dead #’i know it was nothing but painful for gale’ katniss says #i want to know what it looks like #not just his reaction to peeta which is what katniss is talking about but all of it#maybe i will fic it #because no gale does not get changed by the games the way katniss is not by a long shot #but he still saw the woman he loves almost die a dozen times and you don’t just walk away from that without a scratch #not her deep wounds of course not i am in no way trying to equate the two #but he had to be pretty fucking torn apart
