The name Jimmy Darmody - I was using as a placeholder name. It’s actually a real person. The real Jimmy Darmody is an agent at Creative Artists Agency in Los Angeles, which is where I’m represented and it just struck me as a really fun, old-timey name and I used it a placeholder when I was writing the script and then as I was about the turn it in, I called Jimmy and said, “Would you mind if I used your name? I’ve sort of gotten used to it.” And he said, “Yeah, sure. Fine. Go ahead and do it.” And I did and he’s actually come to visit the set, so the real Jimmy Darmody has taken a picture with Michael Pitt our fictional Jimmy Darmody, which he has in his office.
